After just over 20 years of roof cleaning, I still get calls that say they want me to "steam Clean" or Power Wash" their roof. That's a misconception. Steam cleaning is for your drapes-not you exterior surfaces! Power washing is fine for all exterior surfaces, but not the best for a roof-it's just too rough on them!
Below is how myself and my son [father and son only business since 1994] clean roofs.
Other than roofs, we pressure wash or use a cement surface cleaner on flat cement= driveways, walks, parking lots etc.
